The food is possibly second best to the setting in Victoria Park but if their food wasn't as delicious as it is, I wouldn't return as often as I do. Their own sourdough is delicious and chewy, perfect for brunch with eggs. My only complaint is that with the avocado and poached eggs, you get two slices of bread but only one egg. (?!) A superb place for brunch and a cup of tea. It is really amazing and wonderful to see how much this cafe and the park has change over the years.
The pavilion today serves really good brunch food, quality, healthy and delicious good food rivalling those in proper restaurants. The operation here is serious with the staffs to match. This is not your usual cafe by the pond in the park, serving...more

A great spot overlooking Victoria Park. Turned up after running east that way and treated myself to a full fry up. And what a fry up. Black pudding and ginger pig meat with a good portion. Bone marrow too? Sold. And proper homemade beans.
The view certainly helps and it's nice to have a good cafe in a park which is often rare. Good all round.more
