It's only about a three minute walk from Liverpool Street station to get to Duck & Waffle. Before you know it, you're at the Heron Tower and whisked dizzyingly up forty floors high in the sky via a somewhat terrifying glass elevator.

Once inside it's a mix of modern, rustic and luxury.

I had high expectations for Duck & Waffle and luckily it did not disappoint. Went for a friend's birthday and it was an awesome experience from start to finish! Whenever I'm in London I lead city tours, and I always ask my clients via questionnaire if they're afraid of heights. If they aren't (and the entry lines aren't crazy), I take them here. Also, when I first-time-in-London friends come to visit, I take them here too. No one's ever underwhelmed by the experience!

Because the bouncer had his head up his behind and wouldn't let me in to get a coffee because of my trainers (which are squeaky clean and have had numerous compliments, but which I also have to wear at the moment because of an injury on my Achilles' tendon). Every so often, it's good to have a little pomp and circumstance in your life.

Even if the end result means that you're basically going to eat poultry and a waffle.
