Overview

De La Panza, which literally translated means "all about the belly', was born out of the idea to create a Buenos Aires Bodegón-style eating experience here in London. A move away from the common conception of the argentine steak house, we offer a diverse menu that caters for many tastes and budgets and that draws on the Spanish and Italian heritage of Argentina, but of course includes the Parrilla, a quintessential part of the cuisine.

With one side serving Tapas and 'Minutas' where people can drop into for a quick bite and a great glass of wine, the other a full restaurant and grill - our aim is to offer a wonderful place where all people will come to enjoy the finer things in life. A typical Bodegón cater for the barrio, or local community – and we hope to do just that in De Beauvoir, Islington.

Our malbec was delicious. Gotta get that out of the way first, as it was the most notable thing about our meal.

The emphasis here is on red meat, so our table was draped in beef and lamb. Everything was good enough, but not special. Maybe they're still working on perfecting their lineup, since they opened quite recently.

Nice clean, modern ambiance. Service standard.more

My main reason to go to an Argentinean restaurant would have to be the meat. And in this department, De La Panza does not disappoint. I shared the 450g (1 lb) rib eye with my wife and that was perfect. The waiter also corrected our wine and we had a perfectly matching malbec. Great service, desserts and excellent chimichurri!more
