Wow. We enjoyed our favorite meal at Elliot's during our 28 days in Italy, France, and London. Just wandered in because the aroma's at Borough Market got our appetites revved up but we wanted to sit down and were just walking around looking for some lunch. Yum Yum Yum! So healthy and tucked away in the corner of Borough Market. Friendly staff - they accommodated suitcases for us as we'd just come from the airport. I'm uploading a picture of the fluffiest, most beautiful bread we were served while we were there!more

Everything you'd expect in an established restaurant in the center of borough market.

Fresh, fantastic quality and locally sourced produce... and balanced, flavoursome plates...

...but I think you need to check the menu before you go! It's just absolutely dreadful for vegetarians!

A hidden gem right at Borough Market. Elliot's serves up one of the absolute best burgers I've ever eaten - i am quite an expert on that. A in-house baked brioche bun with a perfectly cooked patty and a creamy comté cheese. The fried potatoes are a masterpiece too. I've eaten here twice, the last today and the first just over two years ago and my, how has it gone downhill. Where before the menu had large hearty meals made with produce from the market it has now fallen into what appears to be little more than a high quality tourist trap.

The great 'home cooked' feel and the quality of the produce is still there but but the portion sizes and fallen so...more
