Living around, Duke's Brew & Que became rapidly one of these spots I like to go sometimes, especially when I'm in the mood for a great Texas-style BBQ.
Because that's the big deal here : a US southern comfort food with every standard you might expect from such a place, like hot buffalo wings with blue cheese and celery, the so trendy mac&cheese (although not the best one I've had in London)...more
This was our first meal in London and what a start... They have their own beer... Beavertown, but I stuck with Jaipur a strong IPA one of those dangerously good ones! The food was excellent, our table got some wings to share to start and wow... Super... Not a classic orange sauce hot wing more of a crispy one but so so good... And from then on it was ribs I preferred the beef short rib over...more
Would be 5 stars if it was just a bit cheaper and more accessible.
First, their BBQ is legit. We had the sampler and everything was good, especially the short rib and pork ribs. I ate there a while ago, so I can't remember everything else on the plate, but my overall impression was that the smoke flavor was evident and the meat was well-cooked.

This place is another representation of how amazing the food offering is in Haggerston. Whilst this area is not central or in the busier parts of North/East like Shoreditch and Hoxton, it still holds its own for the locals.
