Overview

Akkadia restaurant in London’s Kensington High Street has been a local favourite under a different name – Falamanki – and retains its charm and high standards under its latest moniker. The Lebanese menu here is authentic and loaded with favourites, from beautiful lamb dishes to many mezze like houmous and falafel. The upstairs dining room is one major step removed from the endless toing and froing of the high street, so it’s a calm spot for anything from a light bite to a full feast. The wine list includes a wide variety of seriously good Lebanese labels, and the arak is highly recommended too. Vegetarians are very well catered-for at Akkadia and the Lebanese coffee is a perfect end to a proper Lebanese meal.
