Solid vegetarian food, with slightly less earthy/crunchy in the air than I'm used to in similar cafes around the world. I like that the edges are polished and there's a bit of a posh feel to this little cafe. I've had some of their food and, despite it trying a bit hard, is really quite nice. Low key, friendly, vegetarian cafe next door to a Buddhist centre.
I had a chickpea pastilla/bastilla with chick peas and harissa sauce, tasty, big and at £3.50, a bargain. Good if you want a quick feed. There are always a few people lounging with a paper, taking their time in the tranquil atmosphere.more
A welcome addition to Bethnal Green: Decently priced decent food.
A nice posh-looking café with kind of expensive but pretty decent coffee, nice salads, and organicish juices and whatnot.
I've tended to avoid the slightly overpriced daily specials, but the salad selection (there are usually 3-4 inventive & filling salads that you can get with a Spanish tortilla for around a fiver.
Situated in the back of the Buddhist Centre, it's a great place for Sunday breakfast/lunch or for stocking up your home larder with good stuff:)
