Overview
Pelicans & Parrots opened its doors in August 2010. It sells a mixture of classic tailored and trend-aware vintage fashion, furniture and interiors.
Contemporary furniture and objects sit alongside one-off vintage pieces, many of which are inspired by a fascination with curiosities from the 17th century.
Most of the pieces sold defy categorization, such as a beautifully constructed Ostrich feather headdress from Trinadad, a Tribal monkey skull in a Victorian dome, to a pair of late 80s electric blue high-waisted ski pants.
As William Morris said “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful”.
