Overview

Life is as sweet as honey here at London pub restaurant The Beehive. Centrally located, this hostelry lays claim to being one of the city’s oldest pubs, having been established in 1884. With a desire to extend to guests the kind of warm welcome which would have been forthcoming all those years ago, the team at The Beehive today go above and beyond to provide busy Londoners with a place where they can feel at home an enjoy a peaceful, comfortable meal away from the rat race. The typical public house exterior of The Beehive, lined with its parasol-ed picnic benches, leads to a room in many ways unchanged over the years - indeed a huge Victorian dark wood bar remains, still serving a wide variety of lagers and real ales as well as excellent wines to complement the food menu. Described as ‘gastropub’, The Beehive’s menu provides much more than the average pub with passion and talent put to use in the kitchen, resulting in a choice of high quality dishes.

Good gastro pub, tasty food at reasonable prices. I met my parents here for an impromptu dinner and drinks. It's not huge and not all shiny, but it was nice for an evening. Some good ales on tap (selection of Meantime beers). Would head here again if I was in the area.more

Another pub we tried on our Sunday afternoon 'quiet drink' catch up, this place was well located off baker St and seemed busy despite the post Sunday roast rush. Good sign to have people inside after food so we checked it out.

Good atmosphere, very chilled. We had couple pub snacks, I would recommend the paprika wedges, they come with cheese on and are a good size portion and wedge size -...more

The area is, thanks to the large tourist attractions, know for very expensive pubs. The Beehive is slightly "off the beaten track" so prices are still decent for both drink and food.

As any pub it will be busy after work hours, especially on Fridays but hey this is London. If you want peace&quiet your in the wrong town...more

It's charming and cozy and fancies itself as a gastro-place.

As a place for beer, I give it 3 stars. As a food destination, we'll have to wait. Stars will go up or down!more

It can be hard to find something non-touristy or non-posh in Mayrlebone, but secretly hanging out only a few blocks from the underground station is The Beehive, and it's a solid pub.

There's nothing incredibly fancy about this place, just a good local. Cheapish drinks, waitress who are constantly running around to pick up drinks, tables inside and out (with a nice awning over the out ones,...more
