On the Archway Road in London’s Highgate neighbourhood, the Bengal Bertie’s restaurant is known for providing good, honest Indian curry house food at reasonable prices. On arrival, you’ll be greeted by smart, polite and efficient staff who spend the remainder of your visit working hard to help you enjoy every moment of your meal. Comfortable and clean, the Bengal Bertie’s dining room is a place where you’ll feel immediately at home – it’s a place where you’ll feel inclined to loosen your tie and let your hair down. The Bengal Bertie’s menu is expansive to say the least, covering just about all of your favourite Indian restaurant dishes, from kormas to vindaloos via baltis and biryanis and with a good selection of fish, seafood and vegetarian dishes. Everything is extremely reasonably priced with the set menus particularly popular with diners on a budget.

Had a nice takeaway--good standard stuff--I was very happy with my Chicken Dhansak. I'm used to slightly cheaper places with similar quality out east.more
So, a blast from the past. The curry sauce was very tasty but the chicken was average, the sag panir side was way to dry and overkilled by spinach not enough cheese and my garlic naan was burnt. Delivery time was quick (30 mins)...more
I've not yet had the opportunity to visit the restaurant but Bengal Berties is my go-to for an Indian takeaway. You can wait for up to an hour on a weekend for the delivery but surely the fact that they're so busy is a sign of a decent meal?
I'd recommend the chicken jalfrezi and peshwari naan. Delicious food and friendly service. I'll definitely be popping into the restaurant soon.more
This is our favourite Indian place in North London - both for eating in or out! In fact, I really like coming to this place on a cold winter night, as it is so very cozy inside...not that the interior is very cool or noteworthy; no, it just radiates warmth and comfort...plus the amazing smell from the kitchen!
What should you order? - Well, it all depends on what you like, but here's a...more
