They are charging 2 pounds to see the Olympic Park from their "Viewing Area", in addition to making you wait in a long queue. A nice big multistorey John Lewis at the back end of Westfield is a must visit for anyone heading to Stratford in 2012. Why? Because as well as being yet another decent department store (almost all John Lewis' are), it also has the best view of the Olympic Park and currently houses a giant Lego version of the Olympic stadium.

I love John Lewis and this one is sooo much more convenient for me than their Oxford St location. It's also a doddle to drive to if you are buying bulky stuff and it's never THAT busy. Paying for stuff is usually quick and easy.
