Yeah a top quality pub this one. Really unauspicious spot, just off the main drag in Stamford Hill and just about far enough away from all those dreadful people who clog up Stoke Newington with their inane chat and form.

Whenever me and my band play at the Pangea Project, we always go for a pre-show drink at the Birdcage. It really is the perfect place to grab a drink before playing, or seeing, some music. There is always a funny bunch of people who are curious about what we are doing with all our instruments.

This pub is worth going to to see the extravagant ceiling and crazy stained glass lighting! Just a nice place to hanging out and drink!more
A very basic, but in a good way, local pub with a decent if slightly 90s-heavy music quiz once a week. Their prices are really reasonable, and they do a hilarious pub quiz on a Wednesday (last time i checked)....more
