The Blackbird was our very first foray into the world of English pubs. Just down the road from Earl's Court Station, The Blackbird, with its dark wood interior, had a cozy, old feel that made me feel 'at home'. Traditional pub with the Fuller's lineup. The pies are pretty good, but too small in my opinion. Once you break through the crust, you may have under 8 spoonfuls of dinner, no matter how hearty it is. I liked the burger better, which was tender and grilled perfectly. On our recent trip to London, we found "The Blackbird" within a half block of our hotel. For the few days we were there, it became "our" pub -- it was always crowded, but we never had to wait. Excellent pub. They have great drinks and the atmosphere is lively and there are a lot of international people. Don't get the burger though, it tastes like meat loaf.more
