My other half and I stopped in on a Friday night around 9pm and I was pleasantly surprised. There was a nice mix of people- the bartenders were friendly with a hipster style while the patrons range from a young couple on a date to groups of friends watching rugby. The crowd seems to be from mid/ late twenties to early forties.

4 years ago this was my local. After being expelled to the US for work, today marked my glorious return to the Boaters Inn. The excitement as I strutted down the Thames was irritating my American fiancé, but even this could not ruin my mood.

Beautifully located on the river with attentive and friendly staff. The menu is well thought out and the kitchen that is open to the outside dining area during the summer is a nice touch. Well sourced beers and ciders top off this gem. Thoroughly recommended.more
I'd leave a big fat zero if possible - extremely rude manager swearing at us when called to discuss the bill.more
Even on a dreary day its nice to be right on the River Thames. The Boaters Inn is a great place to cozy up to a fire with a nice cold pint while watching the boats go by. The food here is a great version of Pub food, and the chicken burger is a local favorite.
