242 Gallery

242 is a fully equipped ground floor gallery, located in a building formerly occupied by Wilkinson Gallery and, more recently, by Monika Bobinska Gallery on Cambridge Heath Road. A stone's throw from Vyner Street, the gallery is in the heart of the East End gallery district. The building is a white-painted modernist-style 'cube', with a tall door and high ceilings. The gallery space is unusually flexible because of its regular shape, high ceilings and mix of natural and gallery lighting. This makes it very well suited to exhibitions of wall-based work, as well as sculpture, film and video.
