Some of the best cocktails in London, hands down. Though the atmosphere is a bit formal, it's a great place to go with a friend or two and have a quiet conversation with some fantastic drinks. Expensive, but that's to be expected. Service is attentive but it can take a while for the bartenders to make the drinks because they can be quite complicated. Oooooh this place is pretty! So fashionable and total perfection for a classy martini bar.
The subtle mirrored walls and velvet seating is intimate yet happening. Modern and elegant at the same time keeping with the iconic Connaught Hotel style yet not at all old world stuffy. The bar itself it a work of art, lit up with light green lighting it glows. The drink list is a mixology of the...more
Connaught Bar very much worth the visit. I remember making the trek there after a whole day of walking in semi high heels and by the time I got to Connaught Bar and plopped myself onto the bar stool, I didn't want to leave. We first heard about this place when leafing through our monthly subscription of Food and Wine Magazine. Listed as one of the 10 Best Bars in the world, we knew this place...more
Dropped by to scout out for a drink last night, not too impressive. The crowd looked pretty dull, the prices were pretty high, and the staff none too friendly. There is no bar seating and there are not enough tables, so you could end up in the Siberia section. Hotel bars are hit or miss, this one mostly the latter. The only reason to come here is to see and be seen.more
Cool bar. Always busy so hard to get a seat (lose a star for the wait). Beautiful deco bar full of beautiful people. Great drinks and moreish snacks. Delicious Martinis, made extra dry, with just a spray of vermouth. Always great.more
