Overview

Itsu is a chain of Japanese restaurants that has emerged in recent times. The interior is very designer, with conveyor belts of sushi sliding past the glass shop front and little stools to perch on. The menu is a totally original mix of Japanese and European dishes. The plates are colour coded according to price. Itsu does not take reservations, but kindly asks their guests to entertain themselves in the bar area whilst waiting for a table.

I was never really a consumer of takeaway sushi before I moved to London, but the price and inconvenience of sushi here has led me to the fridge racks to settle my cravings.

The sushi at Itsu is perfectly adequate, and they garnish it with bits of seaweed and carrots, so it makes for a healthy-ish little lunch. The Tuna/Salmon box provides a decent value for money, and bit of variety for 7...more

Occasionally I'm working near the top end of Regent Street and when lunch comes round recently this has been my favorite place to head for. More than a sandwich and a coffee but so so worth it for the extra fabulous happiness and health which comes with the Omega 3 Salmon Supreme and the Detox Zinger which is my usual choice. It really does make me feel so much better through the afternoon and...more
