On the Greenwich Peninsula in South-East London, The O2 is a state of the art concert arena which has become one of the most popular music venues in London. Our restaurant is on The Avenue which surrounds the arena and is packed with bars, clubs and a cinema. Where to eat in the O2? Many a chains in there. Zizzi appears to be your "safe lifestyle choice" Italian restaurant. Nothing challenging. Nothing awful. I had the stromboli but it was just a calzone. A stromboli is rolled. This was not rolled.

I had the pistachio gelato. Real pistachio ice cream or gelato is not a verdant green. And it has pistachios in it. Alas, this was just a silly green...more

Ordinarily, I quite enjoy the food at Zizzi's. On our last visit, I'm not too sure what happened, but the food was really not up to the restaurant's usual standards - possibly because we went after 9pm (which is a definite bonus as we were turned away from some of the other restaurants in the O2), when the cinema had just let out a fairly packed screening and Zizzi's was one of the last few...more
