Our restaurant is on The Avenue which surrounds the arena and is packed with bars, clubs and a cinema. Where to eat in the O2? Many a chains in there. Zizzi appears to be your "safe lifestyle choice" Italian restaurant. Nothing challenging. Nothing awful. I had the stromboli but it was just a calzone. A stromboli is rolled. This was not rolled.
I had the pistachio gelato. Real pistachio ice cream or gelato is not a verdant green. And it has pistachios in it. Alas, this was just a silly green...more
Ordinarily, I quite enjoy the food at Zizzi's. On our last visit, I'm not too sure what happened, but the food was really not up to the restaurant's usual standards - possibly because we went after 9pm (which is a definite bonus as we were turned away from some of the other restaurants in the O2), when the cinema had just let out a fairly packed screening and Zizzi's was one of the last few...more
