Full Disclosure - I'm an American living in London, take that for what it's worth.
Ambiance: I went here for a lunch on a Wednesday afternoon after having walked by countless times. The decor is my style, laid back and has some kinda old antique-y type clocks and signage. Large specials blackboard that looked like it got a lot of use, which is a good thing.

As mentioned in my previous review, I have always not been a fan of Joe's service. But after my last two visits of surly looks and brusque service, Joe has gotta go in my brunch book.more

Food quality is very uneven. I often get overcooked meals. The service is terrible which is a surprise because the place looks very nice. I keep going there because it's closest to my flat and always promise never to return.more
Cappuccino and hot chocolate were excellent. Slightly disappointed by their pancakes - feels as if cake mix was used in lieu of genuine pancake batter, not to mention there was no syrup, a non-started for any American customer. The decor feels like a New Yorker's interpretation of a mid-west home: a bit yuppy but nonetheless cozy.more
