Itsu
Overview
Itsu is a chain of Japanese restaurants that has emerged in recent times. The interior is very designer, with conveyor belts of sushi sliding past the glass shop front and little stools to perch on. The menu is a totally original mix of Japanese and European dishes. The plates are colour coded according to price. Itsu does not take reservations, but kindly asks their guests to entertain themselves in the bar area whilst waiting for a table. This branch solely offers delivery and take away - there is no restaurant facility.

I love going to this Itsu for lunch, I only wish it was bigger and had more seats. I went there today and had the salmon supreme which was really filling. In the winter, I tend to go for the hot noodles in soups which I really love in the cold weather and it tastes so good and it's good for you. My favourite is the chicken teriyaki. They've recently launched a couple more flavours to the hot...more
There is an ever-growing number of this small sushi chain in London but this one is my favourite because of its location, just at the bottom of Vogue House, Conde Naste London's HQ. Sushi is obviously the perfect fashion magazine work lunch fodder and it's great to sit and spy on the outfits as they saunter past to get their low cal sashimi and miso soup take aways.
However, I will happily...more
For sushi aficionados I'm not sure it gets much better than Itsu. OK, maybe Nobu would be better but lets not split proverbial hairs.
Anyway, back to the point. Itsu is marvellous. A neon lit emporium of sushi also serving beautiful miso soup and hearty noodle dishes to eat in or take away in a variety of London locations.
Some of you may know Itsu as the site of the poisoning of Russian...more
Good concept and I think it would do incredibly well on the East Coast in the U.S. (e.g., in New York and Boston).
Everything was good, but nothing remarkable. The food was good, fast, and relatively affordable.more
It was my first time visiting Itsu so as a hardcore sushi junkie I was expecting a little conveyor belt somewhere but to my disappointment there is none.
Their sushi's are prepackaged and stocked on a display counter by the left hand side. You're not really waited on as they have a counter where you have to pay or order hot food.
I was blown away by the neon walls and decor. They have...more
