Made a booking for 8 people, two weeks in advance. Show up with my friends to find that there are no staff available to seat us. Spend the next 10 minutes at the bar waiting for some service. Finally get the bar staff's attention and say we have a booking only to find out that they gave our table away because, by this point we were "15 minutes late and we only keep the table for 15 minutes"...more
You better pop in on Thursdays!...
... Mojitos, £2.95 all night, guaranteed a fun time out!

Since I live in the area, the Elk has become one of those random places I go when I am too tired to put on make-up and can't really stand the idea of being squashed into someone's armpit on the tube. And you know what? It's fun.
The Elk has a great atmosphere, a friendly staff and the crowd doesn't really care what you look like because on the weekend, almost everyone is drunk, sweaty and...more
