Lux, style, and history. This place has it all. Visited in April 2017 and had a great time. The service was excellent and the staff were very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. The extensive tea list is impressive and offers a variety of herbal, fruit and traditional teas from India and Asia. The food did not disappoint and we received sandwiches, scones, cakes and other sweets that were well...more

Difficult to imagine, but I have actually had better scones on an airplane. 'Pastries' were glued to plates and had the feeling of being pre-fabricated. You cannot go wrong with the Wedgewood Afternoon Tea (with complimentary glass of champagne, booked through afternoontea.co.uk)

Of all the luxury places I have been to so far to indulge in afternoon tea, this is...more

Our group of four had a great afternoon here. The egg mayo with shaved truffle sandwich was a particular hit, as well as the coronation chicken sandwich. The scones were fantastic. We also went through 5 different teas between us and enjoyed trying the various blends on offer. The pianist was really good and played a mix of Broadway tunes and old 80s/90s pop songs which was fun. As other...more
