Absolute brutalist concrete paradise.

Imposing as it is, the Barbican complex is possibly my favourite place in London.

I'm always a little confused when I go to the Barbican. What is this place? It seems to be a bunch of different venues put together.

I suppose it's a good hangout spot, if you want to catch up with friends. It's quiet, unlike a pub. It's spacious, unlike a coffee shop. It's also trendy-ish, unlike my flat.

When you go inside, you'll get the feeling that it's the lobby to a concert hall,...more
