My husband purchased 2 hats at Lock & Co Hatters while we were in London and had a fabulous experience! The very nice woman helping us (we forgot her name) was knowledgeable and accommodating (we tried on a number of hats) and was able to find us the perfect lid! I rarely post negative reviews but alas Lock Company Hatters earned my ire during a recent visit to London. Staff, unengaged and down right rude. Prices through the roof! £150 for a man's lamb's wool knit cap? Please don't insult me even if it was made in Scotland! I don't mind paying for quality but at least give me pleasant and helpful staff and a selection that isn't so overpriced...more

I once bought a grey chauffeurs hat from Lock & Co. for a stuido photo-shoot I was undertaking in Lots Road, Chelsea.
The grey chauffeurs hat looked almost perfect on the model, while I was photographing her. But I must admit the grey chauffeurs hat, did look a bit Gestapo like.
