Cafe Pacifico

London's original Mexican cantina, Cafe Pacifico in Covent Garden has been a quality venue for many parties and special events for over 33 years, serving contemporary and classic Mexican dishes alongside superb margaritas, tequila and cocktails.

Creating a cosy ambience throughout, the long wooden bar and Mexican decor are the most eye-catching features of Cafe Pacifico, situated within a large open warehouse in one of London's most lively areas, and conveniently close to Covent Garden Tube Station.

Freshly made, home-style Mexican food is served to a vibrant crowd. As well as the much loved tacos and fajitas, there is also a choice of seasonal modern Mexican specialities, including fillet of beef with Caribbean jerk sauce or wild mushroom and roasted pepper enchiladas. The Lunch menu is a great deal for a quick and inexpensive offering of tacos, enchiladas and mini fajitas.

On Friday and Saturday evenings, Cafe Pacifico accepts bookings up until 19:30 after which they operate on a first come, first served basis. Diners are welcome to wait in the holding bar, should a table not be immediately available.

The food is ok, the service is terrible, atmosphere is lively but loud. Had the guacamole, not fresh, comes via ice cream scoops out of a large pre made pot. Ordered the fajitas, lots of veggies, very little meat, veggies not sliced the same size so you'll receive uncooked veggies alongside overcooked veggies. After we flagged a server to take our dessert order, I also ordered a coffee with...more

My friend and I come here regularly for margaritas and food. It was the first Mexican restaurant I went to in London when I arrived many years ago, so it will always hold a place in my heart. Servings are huge and good enough, though not fabulous. Can't compare to the restaurants in the States but it's good enough to scratch the Mexican need itch.more

My housemate and I decided we were long over due for a night of tacos and margaritas. I stumbled across Cafe Pacifico on twitter and decided to book a table for Friday night.

We arrived a little early and were sent to the bar to chill before our table was ready. The bar area was quite busy, lots of people eating and drinking there. I assume anyone without a reservation was at the bar...more

I am a self confessed Mexican food aficionado. I grew up in Florida where there is a large Mexican population, and have been spoiled by authentic Mexican food. I am also a self confessed moaner about there not being any quality Mexican in London.

I fall on my sword, because I have finally found it! Thank you Cafe Pacifico!

I went to Cafe Pacifico for a friends birthday and was so glad. Where...more
