The pizza here is yummy!
They have a wood-fired oven and the result is simultaneously crispy and melt-in-the-mouth. I love the Vesuvio pizza in particular. It is kind of like a calzone, as it has dough on the top and the filling in the middle, except it isn't folded in half. It looks like a volcano (hence the name 'Vesuvio') when they bring it out, because when they pull it out of the oven...more
Casareccia provides a taste of Italy for all Kilburners. The pizzas are really great, cooked fresh in their wood-fired oven. If you're concious about the environment then you can be safe in the knowlegde that the wood they use in their oven that creates an amazing smokey taste is taken from ecologically managed forests. heir rustica pizza is gorgeous and it would be a crime not to finish off...more
