Absolutely lovely place to to dine and have a few pints and a meal, especially on a sunny day.
The outstanding item for me was the Sunday veg roast: it was the absolutely **best veg roast dish*** I have ever had. No standard boring old nut roast here, oh no. No more back seat status for this dish. Instead they served me a delectable concoction of glazed carrots, grains, and chopped...more
My love for this place begins with the fact that it's called 'The Hemingway'. I can't say that the man himself would approve of a slate grey gastropub, a classic British symptom of gentrification but hey... That's neither here nor there.

It was served with green beans tossed in little bacon bits (mmmmm bacon), kale, well cooked chips and a Yorkshire pudding. This was the best pub meal I've had in a while, and at £19/head, great value for such good quality steak.
The pub itself is a nice...more
