Classic pub, classic roast.
We were looking for a nice spot for Sunday dinner and found it here. It's your usual pub, with pub atmosphere and pub noises (the hustle and bustle of London.) They didn't have a real table for us but they did have a small table with a couch so we sat there.
We ordered the roast and it was good, but not great. My beef came with a big yorkshire pudding, which was...more
Absolutely lovely place to to dine and have a few pints and a meal, especially on a sunny day.
The outstanding item for me was the Sunday veg roast: it was the absolutely **best veg roast dish*** I have ever had. No standard boring old nut roast here, oh no. No more back seat status for this dish. Instead they served me a delectable concoction of glazed carrots, grains, and chopped...more

It was served with green beans tossed in little bacon bits (mmmmm bacon), kale, well cooked chips and a Yorkshire pudding. This was the best pub meal I've had in a while, and at £19/head, great value for such good quality steak.
The pub itself is a nice...more
