I have been coming here for a while and have always enjoyed the vibe and spirit of the place. Cheapish drinks, live music and always a good crowd. It seems things are changing now. They have a queue to get in and they are quite mean and arrogant about it - who wants to go to a place where you have to wait to go in and the bouncers are rude about it too. The crowd seemed to be a little rough...more

I have a bit of a love/ hate relationship with The Wandle.

I Love: the decor (shabby chic), the food, and the ping pong table in the garden.

I hate: the prices, how busy it gets (and the fact they let people reserve tables on a Friday night) the lack of beer choice (lots of boring lager and a couple of draught) and I hate that they put Aussie rules football on the TV when there are Premiership...more

The Wandle is a good pub, very South African Heavy on weekends!

Food is pretty good, service OK, just a bit rowdy and smelly at the weekends.

The garden is always a popular spot in the Summer and they have live music on Saturdays.

Give it a go!

A good drinks selection, excellent staff (even on a busy Saturday) and a top quality food menu (the platters are particularly delicious) don't let the side down either.

My only gripe, and in these times this is a definite -2 star gripe, is the cost of a...more
