This place is somewhere between 4-5 stars. Not everything is perfect always (I've had specials here that missed the mark...but on the up side, when they asked and I was feels cozy enough to answer honestly, they actually wanted to know what had missed and took it seriously). I like that they take chances and offer up more than the standard curry house fare.

It's been a long time since I've really been excited about a restaurant. This place is a gem! Hidden on Chapel Market, it invites you in by young waiters, a casual feel and great smells.

If you like homestyle indian food, you must try this place, there are only a few dishes on the menu, but all are slow cooked for 4 hrs, which makes the lamb/chicken melt in your mouth..fantastic! Delhi Grill is situated half way along Chapel Market in Islington and is definitely worth checking out. I've eaten here a few times since it first opened and again just a few days ago. Good to see the standard has remained consistently high.

I've been waiting for the Long White Cloud on Hackney Road to find it can't keep up the standard it set itself when it started. But no - to my delight, it's carried on being warm, friendly and relaxed,with excellent food cooked fresh before your very eyes. Good coffee, fresh baked cakes, wifi. It's a Kiwi concern - hence the name - and it's got that NZ brand of easy friendliness.
