After first arriving in London the one restaurant name that kept popping up was Aubaine.
I usually prefer to steer clear of "chain" restaurants but the words fresh, seasonal and French kind of sucked me in.
Despite having 6 restaurants across London, the decor was surprisingly intimate and refreshing. Parisian style lighting with cosy cream booths and little white chairs at the bar create...more
The place is quaint and an oasis just off Oxford Street. I went on Bastille Day, and they had a special 2-course lunch set menu for £15. The starter (salmon rillette) and the main (duck l'orange) were pretty good, and decent sized portions.

This is a great lunch spot. Yes it is a chain - but each one is just a bit different and has it's own charm. I love this location - super cute decor. Their superfood salad with grilled halloumi is my go-to. It's fresh and delicious - and healthy! The staff is always concious that we're on our lunch break so they are quick, but don't rush us.more

The restaurant itself is lovely, really...more

Not to mention the fact that there were scales...more
