Zafferano first opened in the heart of London’s exclusive Belgravia area in 1995. Since then, the awards and accolades have continued to pour in each year and the restaurant has achieved some of the best restaurant reviews written.
Zafferano has been acclaimed time and again for its honest wholesome take on Italian cuisine, with dishes like Malfatti Pasta Parcels with potato and morel mushroom, Lobster and langoustine sautéed with samphire and also Roast Fiorentina T-bone Steak with herb salad. We made it back to Zafferano a few months ago and were fortunate to be there while they had a black truffle menu. The tagliolini truffle was out of this world. Buttery, creamy, amazing with the flavor and texture contrast of the black truffle. And they did not spare any truffle. Went here with a friend when we were here for business. We had thought they still had a Michelin Star (plainly, it wasn't all that important to us), and when I mentioned to him the next day that they had lost their star, he looked at me and said "yeah, that sounds about right."
