As you would expect, this is the place to go for cheese as well as so much more.

If you get there early enough in the day you can pick up delicious stuffed roti, samosas and ciabatta but the demand is high and they quickly sell out.

The cheese selection unsurprisingly steals all the thunder. Other than a trip to France, I doubt that you will be able to find such choice and quality.

The Cheese Block smells like a giant cheese block and sells giant cheese blocks. It is a small store that has blocks of posh and not so rare organic cheese for sale at decent to slightly expensive prices (£1-£10 per block). What's not to love? Cheese cheese cheese! They let you sample as much as you like (I know as I have pushed this gratuity to its upper limits and still not found the breaking point.) They have a fab range of stuff to go with the cheese, and are friendly and knowledgable.

Only downside is that it's a small shop, so it can get crowded - especially as the experience here should be savoured and...more

Nice posh cheese shop. Great selection of fromage at the prices you would expect. I also picked up one of their giant ciabatta loaves which look stunning but was disappointedly quite dry. They sell proper samosas too which are delicious.more
