Chertsey Museum is a real gem and deserves a higher profile than it gets.

Run by dedicated and knowledgeable staff the museum is a font of informtion about the local area, particularly interesting, as Chertsey is such an historic town.

Easy to miss as this museum is situated in what looks like a house. There are over 15,000 objects to see inside. Mostly centred on objects from Runnymede social history and ancient relics. Also on display is the Olive Matthews Collection and they have clothes dating back to the 1700's. The fashion gallery was refurbished in 2007, in which a new dress display is mounted annually.
