Overview

Enjoying a curry on Brick Lane is as much a part of the London experience as viewing the Crown Jewels and a whirl on the Millennium Wheel, and the Clipper Restaurant in Shoreditch provides a modern and authentic east London dining experience. Only a stones throw from the neighbourhood’s hippest bars and from the tube, Clipper Restaurant is a local favourite, and Londoners and tourists alike love the tasty curries and speedy service here. Decorated in neutral colours with tasteful artworks and tables dressed in crisp linens, Clipper is a suitable setting for working lunches or as a meeting place for a night on the town with friends.

The staff are so super friendly. The main fella recognized me even though it had been about 5 months between visits and chatted with me as though we were friends who go way back.

The food is really, really...more

Stale papadums

Mild to almost tasteless prawn purée

Secret of Sylheti not particularly subtle or interesting.

Typical Indian restaurant trying to get you to over order &/or choose more expensive dish. Did know there was a lunch menu until after I started eating and next table asked for it

The lentil soup was delicious and the vegetable curry was so good that I also ordered takeout to eat the next day. But as good as the food was, as an American, i can honestly say the...more
