If a pub looks like so many other hipster pubs, sells the same stuff as so many hipster pubs, and has the same clientèle as so many other hipster pubs, is that a bad thing? Is it tired? Is it unoriginal? Probably a little. But if does what it does well, then I reckon it deserves credit for that. And on that basis I think the Alice House in Queens Park is worth stopping by for.

This is my favourite local place to go for brunch.

It's very welcoming, and on Saturdays they even have a little vintage boutique. The art is pretty and the decor in general is nice.

It's definitely a place for yummy mummies but I enjoy anyway (I'm 24 and have no children).

I'd say the lunch menu is better than their brunch menu, purely because it's slightly more creative and better...more

The food is generally good, not mind blowing, but great at the price point and great decor. The cocktails are fun and innovative so definitely worth a try than your usual pint. The music can be loud at times so you'll have to speak up and maybe leave your sweet puppy home.more

I've been here a few times now and each time I've had a great experience.

The place has a cool vibe, with old wooden tables and chairs, and a section with couches. Out into the back room where it was decked out with old books, and board games on shelves along the walls.

The food is typical English pub style, its very delicious, and reasonably priced for the area.

They have a great cocktail...more
