Close to University of London and British museum. Their ales are OK, but the big score for this place is they have Murphy's Irish Stout on tap - excellent. The problem is they position two large picnic tables directly outside the doors and then keep the doors open, so all the smoke from the crowd outside makes its way quickly and easily into the pub. After a long test at school, my classmates and I came to College Arms for some relaxation and booze. Cozy, laid back sort of pub (at least on this Sunday evening). Good, but small, selection of ales on tap. Really cool selection of bird cages used as lamp shades (see the pic). Recommended as a good place for a drink and chat before hopping back on to the Warren St tube. Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat, but the bar staff were nice.more
Recently refurbished (apparently) a nice small pub with good food (two burgers for the price of one on Wednesdays).
The aforementioned burgers are super-rare though (luke warm in the middle...) so make sure you ask for medium/well done if you prefer something a bit more, well, cooked.more
I used to com here as a student, and being probally the only art student amongst a ton of UCL and Law students, I liked a break from the norm... or maybe I was their break from the norm?
