Truefitt & Hill is the world’s oldest barbershop, founded in 1805 in the heart of London’s fashionable Mayfair.

Today, located on St James Street, the company has had the honour of serving the Monarchs of Great Britain during nine consecutive reigns, which extend over the last 200 years.

Mentioned by Charles Dickens and W. Thackeray in their novels, Truefitt & Hill enjoy the unique privilege to claim the title of Britain’s, Europe’s and the world’s oldest, yet still established, gentlemen’s barbershop, as authenticated by the “Guinness Book of World Records”.

When I was working in London I went here for a haircut, and its definitely an experience. No electronics at all, the whole thing is done with a variety of scissors and manual clippers. Its kind of an old school place with...more
