I'm not sure that I would necessarily shop here if I was a professional, or even just a committed amateur artist, as it is decidedly not a cheap shop but I often come here for bits like Christmas card materials and other things when I decide to do a home art project or something. Sale! My second favourite word! So, it is sale season and back to uni season for art, media and design students. Time to stock up for the semester.

Well priced for an art-shop and they really do stock everything.

The staff were SO friendly. I was looking for some particular sketching pencils for a certain style of portraits and they gave me a lot of advice and help as well as showed me around for anything I asked for.

Bit tricky to find because it's on a backstreet of Oxford Circus somewhere... but a great shop.more

This place is great. Most of my stars are for the amazing sales clerk who came to my rescue as I was scrambling around on a friday evening looking for supplies for a project I needed to finish on saturday. I needed jewelry findings, didn't have them, but directed me exactly to the store down the street that carried everything I needed.
