Since I was in good company, it made this tea experience significantly better. Maybe the regular Italian menu is good, and they don't really prepare the afternoon tea. I don't know, but I wouldn't suggest coming here to tea at least.more
Food was beautifully presented and service was attentive and efficient. However, we felt as though more effort was put into the presentation and trying to be a bit different, than how the food actually tasted. This is a review for afternoon tea. We had a Groupon, which was a very good 2-for-1 deal. We loved the selection of sandwiches and pastries and tea and the service was old-school and fabulous. Highly recommend as an alternative to Browns or any of the other traditional places. The food was excellent. Ordered was spaghetti with tomato sauce and buffalo mozzarella and ravioli stuffed with prawn. A large selection of breads was offered and all were very good. I went to Avista with 3 friends due to a special offer through Travelzoo. We had canapees, starter, main course, pudding, petit four. All delicious and beautifully presented.
