I am not sure if 2 star or 3 star is appropriate here. The wasn't too bad. But it also wasn't anything I would eat again. Perhaps we ordered the wrong things . We ordered 2 different specials- a crab pasta and a saffron halibut. The halibut could have been fresher. I don't know where the saffron . The dish was kind of tasteless. To start, crumbly bread with a pot of pond water; butter stolen from a travel lodge to smother it. Fortunately, they managed to not burn the avocado and somehow insert some disgruntled prawns. The bruschetta, clumsily rotting everywhere.

De Amici's is a cute Italian restaurant a few minutes walk from Notting Hill Gate station which offers a nice authentic atmosphere. Visiting the neighborhood and decided to try. Glad we did.
Found the specials fantastic. They featured fresh porchini mushrooms that evening served with pasta or as risotto. Went with the pasta and wasn't disappointed.
Also had a chicken parm dish my wife found pleasing as well.more
I came at 9PM on a Friday, and a few tables were being served. We were seated quickly and handed our menus. We ordered the garlic bread appetizer, which was simply two thick slices of toast with olive oil, salt, and some herbs (2.50 pounds). I would stick to not ordering appetizers here.
