City Temple
Overview
The City Temple is a large Non conformist church in the City of London and has been the scene of many famous events and ministries. Its first minister was Oliver Cromwell's chaplain Dr Thomas Goodwin. The main sanctuary, which holds 900 people, is only open during services but the small chapel is open daily for prayer. The building was extensively rebuilt after wartime damage. The facade is the original built in 1874. A small museum is also available for viewing on request. A 900-seat auditorium, 350-seat hall and conference/meeting rooms are for hire.
