No. 67 Café and Restaurant
Overview
An independent venue set within the hidden gem that is the South London Gallery, No. 67 Café and Restaurant is earning a fine reputation all of its own. By day a lively, casual café, by night a chic bistro eatery, No. 67 was a part of the careful restoration of the gallery, turning the Victorian terrace in to an award-pestering piece of contemporary architecture. With this in mind No.67 is a pretty impressive space, part light airy conservatory, part cosy Parisian deli, an appropriate fusion of ultra-modern design and traditional styling; all chalkboards and food displays at one end, leading in to the glass extension and out to a lovely al fresco dining space. During the day No. 67 is popular with gallery goers, offering a robust menu of seasonal favourites alongside snacks, light bites, coffees and cakes. At night, the bistro menu is an impressively refined collection of British and Mediterranean influenced dishes accompanied by an equally considered collection of wines and beers.
