Jean-Georges Vongerichten's South East Asian inspired restaurant, Spice Market, is located in the W Hotel – Leicester Square. The restaurant is the sister restaurant to the iconic Spice Market in New York’s Meatpacking District. The cuisine is Jean-Georges’ interpretation of the eclectic food experience during his many trips across South-East Asia. Spice Market offers Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner a la carte menus as well as a great value Express Lunch menu and a Pre and Post Theatre Menu.

One of those hotel restaurants that charge far too high than what it's really worth but has some surprises up its sleeves that leaves you satisfied rather than looking at the damage done. Luckily we also came here with 50% off food and that made it more worthwhile.

I enjoyed my dinner at Barley & Buns, they have tried to do something refreshingly different with some modern twist on the buns instead of just directly copying what is already successful. Also the setting is a lot more relax and stylish than most Asian restaurants and the service was at a great hotel standard. Came here for the Barley & Buns popup with a 50% off deal through another website.

Considering we arrived at 12pm sharp (when they opened) the staff was still having a staff meeting on the sofas, the service was pretty slow.

The waitress who took our orders was not familiar with the new menu at all, she did not know what the bao of the week was, nor its price.

Went here for the Barley & Buns popup.

The lounge/bar is typical W, very stylish and cool. Great environment to impress or have a drink in nice surroundings.
