Very cool venue. Did this place used to be a theatre? It almost looks like it could've been with the circle and upper circle. It certainly seems very 'grand' and a great place to party. I went to The Clapham Grand for an event rather than as a regular clubber so I can't say what...more
This review comes with a disclaimer as it was quite a few hours into a drinking marathon before I stopped into here.
The queue went relatively quickly and the entry fee of £10 wasn't too bad... The place was absolutely packed when we got in and I definitely felt like one of the oldest people there!! (and I'm in my mid 20s...) Everyone seemed pretty cool, I didn't get hassled by meat market...more

The Clapham Grand has finally undergone some refurbishment. This massive venue right close to Clapham Junction station was abuzz with bubbly clubbers when I arrived, and when I walked in it was easy to see why. Rumour has it that the new owners have spent £1.2m to deck the place out in opulence. While the colourful interior left me feeling a little like a colour-blind camel at a bull fight,...more
