Fortnum & Mason

About

Founded on the same site in 1707, Fortnum Mason is a unique and beautiful store. Fortnum’s is renowned as purveyors of fine foods, hampers, teas and wine. It has five restaurants, from an award-winning wine bar to the wonderful ice cream parlour.

Food may be first at Fortnum’s, but lift your eyes to the spectacular atrium, and let your feet (or the lifts!) lead to the delights aloft. From the serious fun of the Cookshop to the tranquil femininity of the second floor and the leathery comfort of Men’s Accessories, Fortnum’s is a theatrical oasis in the middle of Mayfair.

My Sunday roast was so tender and juicy but the roast potatoes were dry and hard to cut. The scones were not tasty nor moist and to make matters worst my tea was ever so weak. I was expecting a perfect meal from this place but unfortunately, I did not!

The granddaddy of all tea shoppes! Fortnum and Mason has a rich British history in tea since 1707. The tea shoppe is quite overwhelming, boasting every variety of tea possible - nicely and uniquely packaged in their signature containers and Eau de Nil shade of teal. This store is massive, with a grand food hall in the basement, to the signature tea rooms on the 5th floor. The staff is very...more

One of my favourite playgrounds in the heart of London.

For one, it's a great place to window shop -- although it would be only a few minutes before you're tempted to open up your wallet to purchase a nice can of tea or chocolates or biscuits or whatever have you. Went here for a Christmas shop to get some teas and jams and this place which is essentially famous due to its Britishness equally excels in its quality.

The tea and jam selection is unbelievable. Beautifully packaged items and though it is mega packed with tourists I love it. Great window displays too! Very Selfidges-esque.more
