Fortnum & Mason

About

Founded on the same site in 1707, Fortnum Mason is a unique and beautiful store. Fortnum’s is renowned as purveyors of fine foods, hampers, teas and wine. It has five restaurants, from an award-winning wine bar to the wonderful ice cream parlour.

Food may be first at Fortnum’s, but lift your eyes to the spectacular atrium, and let your feet (or the lifts!) lead to the delights aloft. From the serious fun of the Cookshop to the tranquil femininity of the second floor and the leathery comfort of Men’s Accessories, Fortnum’s is a theatrical oasis in the middle of Mayfair.

After years of buying online from across the pond, I finally got to visit their flagship store. It's beautiful inside and out, and everyone I interacted with in the store was helpful. I bought a variety of teas to take home and a couple of lifetime bags to carry them in. Apparently, I need only take the bags back into the store for replacement if they ever get damaged. I'm enjoying the teas...more

One of my favourite playgrounds in the heart of London.

For one, it's a great place to window shop -- although it would be only a few minutes before you're tempted to open up your wallet to purchase a nice can of tea or chocolates or biscuits or whatever have you. The variety and quality are both impeccable, and it's quickly become my go-to place if I want to get something nice for the ones...more

This is definitely not a cheap place but if you're looking to buy some goodies for your non London friends.. And have money to throw around... I'd come here. They have one of a kind things...

Their rose petal jelly is wonderful...

Their tea is divine... They even have a Queen Anne line. :)

I also got some rose and cream chocolates... A little too sweet for my taste.

Oh and they serve...more

Went here for a Christmas shop to get some teas and jams and this place which is essentially famous due to its Britishness equally excels in its quality.

The tea and jam selection is unbelievable. Beautifully packaged items and though it is mega packed with tourists I love it. Great window displays too! Very Selfidges-esque.more
