My friend who lived in London for 4 years recommended this restaurant in Chinatown and I'm glad we took his advice!
They had a variety of dishes from vegetarian dishes to meat, which all came in generous portions. I would recommend the Chinese mushroom with stewed seasonal vegetable and of course, pecking duck!

One of the very many Soho Chinese restaurants on Gerrard Street. This is one of the smaller, less showy ones. It offers decent, though by no means spectacular food at competitive prices. Service is fairly efficient and, also, friendlier than usual in this area. But, then, as a frequent visitor to Chinese restaurants, you don't expect too much in terms of courtesy.

This place definitely has some of the better peking duck available in the world. Unfortunately though it comes at ta cost of long waits (I avoided it but the next group had quite a long wait), inconsiderate service, and it's most definitely overpriced. But, since it's all about the food for me I can't not recommend Four Seasons.

I absolutely enjoyed this place.
The lot of us ordered half a pecking duck, mapo tofu, spinach and prawn dumplings to share. The duck was solidly done with the perfectly light pancakes and rich plum sauce to go with. I loved the mapo tofu as well -- adequately spicy and flavourful. The dumplings and spinach were some of the best I had in London.

I love this place and especially the crispy duck. I believe that's what they are know for. There's always a queue at this place so either eat an early or late dinner. We always get the crispy duck and the crispy shredded beef. The BBQ duck is also very delicious and so is the pork belly.
