G-A-Y is an alright place. My friend and I had wanted to check it out for a while but we were disappointed.
First of all, entrance is cheap (£2) and drinks are of reasonable price, which made up for it, we did have a good enough time there, don't get me wrong. But if I'm being honest, I would not come back.

I came here on a Thursday night with a friend, and we headed straight to the bar on the first floor. Queues were packed at 10PM, but £1.70 for a selection of 7 drinks (beers, ciders, basic mixed selection, jaegers)? Yes!!! If you want an unpretentious, dance happy gay bar that leans on the young side of the demographic scale, then G-A-Y is perfection. We found the drinks to be relatively cheap by London standards, the bartenders were very friendly, and the crowd was loose and fun.
I agree with those that state the music can be bi-polar. It's all over the place...from current top 40 to obscure brit-pop....more
