Coming from California I thought it might be fun to check out a Mexican place. Food was really good, kind of a tapas menu except Mexican food instead of Spanish. They have larger plates too, but we tried the "street food"

Chicken tinga were ok, I'd rather cubed Asada style than shredded

Chorizo & potato quesadilla 10/10 they were great

Chorizo empanadas (special) good stuff and 20p is donated...more

This place was obviously going to be good, you can sort of tell when you walk in the place! It did not disappoint! Big bar downstairs and interesting loos.

My friends and I originally planned to go to a Time Out-rated burger place, but ended up going to Wahaca instead. It was one of the better choices that we could have made for sure.

Genuinely good Mexican even by California standards.

Mole tacos were perfect. Pork pibil wasn't as flavorful as some I've had, but was still quite tasty and is a dish I'd order again. Also had a burrito and the combo plate amongst the group, all of which were worth ordering. Guacamole was decent but the pork cracklings that came with it more than made up for the average guac.
