Visited the cinema on Sunday for the first time since 2009. It used to be quite grotty and a bit of a dump - it is the complete opposite now! Gentrified, perhaps, hipster - moreso, but wow what a transformation! Awesomely friendly and helpful staff, nice coffees and snacks available and a pretty much complete refurbishment whilst retaining the affordable prices. Will be coming again more often...more
The coolest cinema in london. Has a couple of nice bars, and serves great coffee, and savouries. Kind and professional staff. I like the architecture of the building. It evokes an atmosphere. There is free wifi, and it would be an attractive place to go to just for the foyer bar.

I really like this cinema, as Daniel says it steeped in history it's also a little shabby around the edges. It's in a grimey part of London, it has some bad taste 90s decor (which I loved!) and an old style screen. I came here for...more
