I'm going to give Dolcetto some love. Sometimes you just want straight-to-the-point dining out. And my hast suited the pragmatic pace of the service here. Literally the unequivocal no-beating-around-the-bush "what do you want to eat" from the waitress, was just what I wanted to hear about 2 minutes after sitting down. Blunt, but prompt. And not entirely brusque either...

This place seems to be quite well regarded by some, my experiences were less good.

The service was excellent but the food really wasn't.

From what I can tell, the best thing to do is go for their pizzas which is apparently their forté but I haven't sampled them so can't confirm.more

Simple decor. Was dining with a group of 8 people, half from the US, half from the UK.

For the starters, the group had the prosciutto and bufala starter and the fried calamari. Only had the calamari that came with a tarter sauce. Very small portion for a £8 starter that came out warm, not hot and was lightly salted. Nothing to write home about.

Some of the best Italian I've had in London. Crisp fresh pizzas, tender and subtle risottos, and the eggplant parmesan!! Try the avocado, tomato and mozzarella salad. Their buffalo mozzarella is out of this world! House wine is also quite good.more
